Getting picked up

Almost all Costa Brava transfers start at BCN Airport. I meet you inside arrivals with a sign, and waiting is free for an hour after you land — useful on this route, because a delayed evening flight can otherwise leave you looking for a coach that stopped running.

From the city I collect at your hotel or apartment door. If you are staying somewhere in the Gothic Quarter where cars cannot reach, I will name the nearest corner when I confirm.

Coming back the other way works the same: I collect from your Costa Brava hotel at whatever time your flight needs, including the 04:00 starts that the coaches do not cover.

The drive north

It is around 95 km to Lloret, most of it on the AP-7 and then the C-32, and normally takes an hour and twenty minutes. Tossa is another fifteen minutes on a winding coast road; Blanes and Malgrat are slightly closer than Lloret.

The final approach to Tossa, the GI-682, is genuinely twisty and beautiful. If anyone in the car is prone to motion sickness, say so and I will take the slightly longer inland route instead — it costs the same.

Summer Saturdays are changeover day for most of the coast, and the AP-7 north of Mataró can be slow between 10:00 and 13:00. A fixed price protects you from that entirely.
