The Eixample is where most visitors stay, and its layout makes it the simplest district for a taxi. The catch is the one-way system. Most streets run one way and the diagonals cut across everything, so the driving distance between two points can be noticeably longer than the map suggests. That is one more reason to price on the actual route rather than a flat district figure.

For an airport run the Eixample is about 15 km out. Allow 25 minutes off-peak and closer to 40 between 08:00 and 09:30, when Gran Via and Aragó back up. Sagrada Família pick-ups are best from Carrer de Provença rather than the church side, where the tour coaches sit.
