Finding your terminal
Moll Adossat has four cruise terminals spread along more than a kilometre of quay, plus two more at the World Trade Center closer to the city. Give me the ship name and I will drive to the right building rather than the port gate.
On busy mornings the port occasionally restricts vehicle access to the quay. If that affects your date I will tell you the night before and we will use the World Trade Center meeting point instead.
Embarkation and disembarkation days
Boarding usually runs from late morning to mid-afternoon, and the approach road is at its worst between 10:00 and 13:00. Book early and I will build the extra time in.
Disembarkation is the reverse: several thousand people leave within the same two hours. A booked taxi waiting for you is worth considerably more than the small amount it saves in stress.
Between the port and the airport
The trip between the cruise terminals and BCN Airport has a fare fixed by the metropolitan authority, identical in every licensed taxi and inclusive of all supplements. It applies in both directions.
Trips between the port and the city are priced on the real distance, which matters here because Barceloneta and Pedralbes are nothing like the same journey.
Working out which terminal your ship uses
Cruise lines usually publish the berth two to four weeks before departure, and it appears on your e-ticket rather than in the brochure. Moll Adossat's terminals A, B, C and D are spread along more than a kilometre of working quay, so the difference between them is a long walk with cases, not a short one.
If you do not have the terminal yet, send me the ship name and sailing date and I will look it up on the morning itself. The World Trade Center berths, closer to the Columbus monument, are used mainly by smaller vessels and are a separate location entirely.
Questions and answers
Do taxis reach the cruise terminal buildings?
Yes, under normal conditions. On a few very busy mornings port access is restricted and we would meet at the World Trade Center point instead.
How much does the airport to cruise port taxi cost?
That specific route has a legally fixed, all-inclusive fare set by the Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona. It is the same in every licensed taxi and no supplements can be added.
Can you help with large cruise suitcases?
Yes. Four passengers with four large cases fit the saloon car; for more, set the passenger count and the minivan is selected automatically.
