If you are travelling on a match day, meet me on Avinguda de Xile or by Illa Diagonal rather than at the stadium gates, and allow extra time in both directions.

It is one of the closer districts to the airport at roughly 12 km, and the run out avoids the city centre entirely via the Ronda de Dalt or the Gran Via. For an early flight from a Diagonal hotel, this is one of the quicker parts of Barcelona to leave from.
