The old industrial quarter turned tech district, along the coast north-east of the centre.

Poblenou runs from Glòries down to the beaches, and takes in the 22@ office blocks, the Rambla del Poblenou and the Diagonal Mar shopping centre. Streets are wide, modern and easy to stop on — the simplest district in the city for a car.

It is also the furthest of the central districts from the airport, at roughly 20 km against the Eixample’s 15 and Sants’ 11. On a flat "airport to Barcelona" price you would be paying the same as someone going to Sants for a journey almost twice as long. That is precisely the pricing this site does not use.

Going out to the airport from here the Ronda Litoral is usually clear, so despite the extra distance the time is often no worse than from the centre. Coming in from the north, the Fòrum and Diagonal Mar addresses are quicker than they look.
